Whipple Dam

집 옆에 있는 whipple dam state park에 가서 몇장 사진 찍었다.
wild life가 있다고 공원 홈페이지엔 선전되어있고, 특히 black bear가 산다고 해서 곰만나면 어떻게 해야할지 주의사항까지 열심히 읽었는데, 그 흔한 다람쥐도 잘 안보였다. 산중이라 벌써 다들 동면에 들어갔는지 코빼기도 안보인다.

첫학기 끝남..

한학기가 어제로 다 끝났다.

용두사미..란 말이 떠오른다.

처음엔 정말 열심히 하려고 했으나...중반이후, 11월부터는 꽤 늘어진거 같다.

support도 아직 못구해서 부담은 많이 되나, 뭘 특별히 어떻게 해야할지 잘 모르겠다.

교수 두 사람한테 이런저런 사정이야기를 했으나 둘 다 돈을 보장은 못한다 그러고..

좀 더 징징거리면서 달라고 해볼껄 했나 싶기도 한다.

뭐 징징거리고 싶어도 말이 딸려서 어떻게 하질 못하기도 했지만...

일단 겨울방학됐으니 대강이나마 계획을 좀 세워봐야겠다. 한 3주 잘 보내서 다음학기는 멋지게 - - 성공해야지.

결론은 위 9가지 분류의 12강좌중 3개를 들어야 하고, 500 level 강의 들은 것중 하나만 candidacy exam을 봐야하고, algorithm, PL 중 하나 혹은 OS, CA 중 하나는 꼭 하라는 거네요.
저는 CSE 565를 들었으니 이번에 그걸 시험봐서 만약 붙는다면 네트웍, 아키텍쳐를 본다고 가정하면 514나 530은 2번 조항에 걸리는 것 같습니다..PL은 저번에 붙었으니 520은 못듣는거겠구요.

개솔린차에 디젤 넣으면?

지난주에 필라델피아에 다녀오면서 개솔린 차인 내 엘란트라에 디젤을 2갤론정도 넣었다 -_-;;

그러고 나서 나머지 12갤론 정도를 휘발유로 채웠는데...

정비소직원 왈 휘발유를 많이 넣었으니 괜찮을 거랜다..

현대 딜러의 A/S center에도 물어봤더니 같은 대답.

조심해서 천천히 와서 그런지 조금 힘이 없는거 빼고는 오는 동안에 다른 말썽은 없었다.

구글링도 열심히 해보고 했는데, 이렇게 희석한 경우에는 영구적인 엔진손상을 주지는 않는 것 같았다.

여러 소모품 - fuel filter, fuel line, spark plug등에 문제가 생기는 경우가 있으나 이 것들을 교체하는거는 좀 큰 공사이고, 보통 꽤 내구성이 있게 만들어지므로, 당장 갈아야 할 필요는 없덴다..

새 차에 너무 안좋은 밥을 멕인거 같아서 처음으로 super premium gasoline을 6갤론 정도 지난 주말에 한번 더 채워줬다.

기름을 좀 바꿨더니 가속될 때 조금 달라지는 것 같긴 하더라.

디젤이 좀 더 점화온도가 높아서 개솔린 엔진에게는 잘 연소 안되는 나쁜 기름이 들어온 역할을 한덴다.. 그래서 디젤이 만약 더 많았다면, 좀 문제가 커질 뻔 했었다..

어떤 사람은 engine treatment를 넣어주기도 했다던데...나도 한번 해볼까 생각중이다.

what shall I do?

no study in study day

Today is study day in Penn State. However, at least for me, this day is "no" study day. Furthermore, this day is chuseok for Korean which is a sort of Thanksgiving day in Korea. I spend my day time at home in my easiest way and I have met Korean guys in CSE department tonight. It was really pleasure only except one thing that my wife had different appointment. Although I was alone, today I feel free , refreshed and relaxed.

요즘...구직하기 위하여 교수님 두분을 만나서 면접을 보았다.

일단, 서류 심사는 두분다 OK를 했고, 이번학기는 수업듣는데 열중하고, paper reading을 조금씩 해보라고 두분이 모두 일종의 ok를 했다. 한분은 조금 더 강하게, paper를 구체적으로 정해주면서 다음주까지 읽어오라고 하셨다. 다른 한분은 안식년이라 그렇게 못하셨지만, 제자들이랑 이야기를 해보라고 소개까지 해주셨다.

또다른 e-mail로만 연락한 교수님은 원격으로나마 공부해야할 back ground에 대해서 친절하게 이야기를 해주셨고..

수업들으면서 세분 교수님의 training을 모두 감당하기는 좀 쉽지 않겠지만, 일단은 어느 분이 좀 더 잘 맞는지 보기 위해서 부담감 없이 시작해보면 될 거 같다.

문제는 fund를 다음학기에 보장해준 교수님이 아직은 없었다.

한가지 good news는 적어도 한과목은 candidacy exam에서 통과한거 같다..^^

대단하다...

다음학기에 신임교수로 부임하는 S씨의 홈페이지를 요새 종종 가는데, 정말 천재란 어떤 사람인지 생각하게 만든다.

the Earth를 대표하는 천재들 중 하나가 되려나...어쨌든 이런 사람을 만나게 되는 것만으로도 행운인 것 같다. 진짜 천재는 어떤지 구경이나 해볼 수 있으려나;;;

처음으로 교수한테 질문을 해보다...

오늘 network 수업이 끝난뒤에 P교수에게 질문을 했다.
수업시간중에는 도저히 엄두가 안나서 못하고, 수업끝나고 나서 조르륵 가서 질문을 했는데, 질문은 머릿속에서 생각을 해가지고 가서 무사히 했다. 그런데, 교수가 좌르륵 설명을 해주고, 내가 이해한게 맞는지 점검받으려고 교수한테 '그러니까, X, Y가 서로 trade off가 된다는 말인거죠? 그리고 Y의 좋은점이 강해서 Y를 살리면 좋은 거가 되는 거지요?' 를 되물었는데, 그 말이 너무 안나와서 정말 고생했다. 갑자기 생각 안한 말을 하려니 너무 말문이 안 트였던 것이다...

휴...영어공부 정말 열심히 해야겠다....

Week 2

Penn State에서의 week 2가 지났다. candidacy exam과 씨름하느라 정신없이 지나가 버렸다. 한두 과목정도는 운좋으면 cut line은 넘기지 않을까...기대도 해본다. 잘 됐으면 좋겠다. 요즘 불현듯 너무 한국사람들하고만 어울리는거 아닌가 하는 불안감도 든다.

candidacy exam 중간평가

첫번째 candidacy exam 3과목중 2과목을 지났다.

소감은 문제가 그렇게 어렵진 않았다. 4문제를 풀으라 하는데, 시험본 2과목 모두 1문제 정도는 쉬운게 나오고, 1문제 정도는 손댈만한 문제가 나왔다. 즉..커트라인을 50점 위쪽으로 잡으려 하는게 눈에 보였다.

그러나....중요한 것은 나는 그 기대를 전혀 만족시키지 못했다는 점이다.

한과목은 3문제를 풀긴 했으나...확신은 안서고, 오늘 algorithm은 망했다. MST에서 decrease-key가 필요하다는 걸 묻는 문제를 보기좋게 틀려버렸다. 역시 그냥 눈으로 보고 이해하는 거랑 내용을 남에게 설명하는 것 사이에는 큰 gap이 있는거 같다.

내일 programming lanaguage가 끝나고 나면 숙제들이 기다리고 있다. 예습, 복습을 잘하려 했으나 candidacy exam덕에 첫학기 첫주부터 예습복습은 물건너 가버리고 숙제에 허덕이게 생겼다. candidacy exam끝난 뒤에라도 열심히 해야지. 곧 중간고사도 보게 될테니..

투쟁.

윗집의 타일랜드 아이들 때문에 몇주를 참다가 결국은 경찰 두번 부르고, 기숙사 community centre에 불평을 하기에 이르르게 되었다.

이 넘들은 아 밤에 잠들은 안자고, 세탁기에, 건조기에, 식기 세척기에...음악에, 큰소리로 전화통화등 갖가지 낮에 할 일들을 새벽 4~6시까지 해대는 것이 아닌가! 더 황당한 거는 좀 밤에는 하지 말라고 이야기도 했는데도, 지네 방에서 크게 안들린다고 개무시를 해버리는거다. 이 넘들은 도대체 밤에 잠은 안자고 왜들 그러는지..

결국 community centre에 가서 '얘네들이 밤에 자꾸 소리를 내는데, 소리가 그렇게 크진 않은데, 새벽 3~4시에 계속 소리를 내니 신경이 좀 쓰인다. 가서 주의좀 줘라' 라고 해서 센터에서 주의를 받고도 이 놈들은 계속 같은 짓을 하는것이 아닌가. 그래서 결국은 밤 12시쯤해서 아내가 올라갔다.

'너네 지금 세탁기 돌리지?'

이건 뭐야 하는 표정으로 쳐다들 보더랜다. 그러면서 세탁기 돌린다고 끄덕이더랜다. 그래서 아내가 '너네 세탁기 돌리고, 건조기 돌리고, 식기세척기 돌리는 소리 밑에서 다 들리거등? 너넨 밤에 잠안자고 먼짓들이니? 난 아침에 일찍나가니까 좀 밤엔 그런거 돌리지 마, 알았지?' 했더니 이 넘들 하는 말이 그 소리들이 밑에서 들리냐는거다.. 우라질, 들리니까 경찰부르고, 난리 쳤지, 이런 기본도 안된 넘들을 봤나. 그 넘들 집은 집에 뭘 많이 쌓아들 놔서인지 소리가 흡수되서 상대적으로 여러가지 기계 소리들이 작게 들렸는데, 우리 집은 가구도 별로 없고, 물건들이 별로 없어선지 소리가 다 울려서 더 소리가 컸던거 같다. 어쨌든, 아랫집 사람들이 조용해달라고 하는 데 '별 웃기는 짬뽕 다 보겠네.' 하고 개무시 해버리는 년놈들이 윗집 놈이 되다니.. 더 괘씸한거는 분명히 기숙사 코디네이터가 '걔네들 그 방에 새로 이사온 사람이야' 라고 했는데, 지네들이 거기 산지 4년째랜다. 즉, '남들은 다 암소리 안하는데, 너넨 왜 유별스럽냐? 아 짜증' 이런 반응. 한번만 더 밤에 소리내면 경찰 한번 더 불러줘야지 하고 있었는데, 누가 경찰에 3번 신고 들어가면 경찰서 가서 조서를 받는덴다. 왜 자꾸 경찰 부르게 만드냐고. 그 넘들도 어디서 그걸 들었는지, 그 뒤로는 좀 자제들 하는거 같다.

그리고, 기숙사 코디네이터도 어떻게 합의되었는지 다음에 이야기 해달랜다. 아마 몇번 더 항의하면 notice to quit을 할 수 있으니 그런거 같다. 우라질 놈들 여튼 요 며칠은 조용히 해서 밤에 잠 다운 잠을 드디어 잘 수 있게 되었다. 투쟁의 힘이다;;;

작품들

지금은 이외에도 작품들이 여러개 더 생겼지만, 처음엔 정말 뿌듯했다. 이젠 책장쯤은 초급코스라 우습게 보게 되었다;;; T사, W사 등을 전전하며 가구들을 장만했는데, 대부분 분해해된 상태로 팔아서 가지고 와서 조립하게 된 가구들이었다. 사실 제대로 된 가구점에 가서 주문해도 가지고 와서 조립하기는 마찬가지였다. 원목..뭐 이런거가 아닌 이상에는 다 그렇게 파는거 같았다.
어쨌든 $10 전동드라이버 안사고 80센트짜리 십자드라이버 산다고 쿠사리를 좀 먹긴 했지만, 앞뒤 바꿔끼운다던가 하는 실수를 해서 다시 끼운 경우 빼고는 생각보다는 금방금방 제조해 냈다. 아, 한가지 저 화장실 변기 뒤에 세우는 거는 조립하기가 정말 상당히 난해했다.;;;

엘란트라.

엘란트라, 즉 한국에서 아반테, 를 지난주에 구입했다.

동네에 있는 R 사의 B씨에게서 구입했다. 일단 한국에서 타던거 보다는 훠얼씬 고사양이다. 한국에서는 1.5 GLS를 탔었는데, 여기서는 2.0 GLS에다가 premium package를 덧붙여서 썬루프에 ABS장착. 스포일러까지..그런데 아뿔싸..여기는 기본이 CD player고 tape deck가 없다;;;

조금 더 당황스러운 것은 안테나. 꼭 피뢰침처럼 안테나를 나선형 철사로 한번 더 감아놓았는데, 그 덕분인지 안테나가 안들어가고 계속 삐죽 솟아있다. 그런데, 유심히 보니 다른 차종들도 대부분 그런 것 같다.

동네에서만 조금 몰아봤는데, 가속붙는 거나 여러모로 한국에서 타던 아반떼보다는 좋은 것 같다. 이제 $20을 절약하기 위해 오일 교환하는 법부터 배워야 할려나 ㅎㅎ. 해보면 재미는 있을거 같으나, 내가 해도 별 탈없이 차가 굴러갈지가 의문이다. 달려보자, 엘란트라. ^^

은행은 어려워

학교내에 들어와있는 PNC bank의 온라인 뱅킹으로 오늘 계좌 이체를 해보았다. 물론, 한국의 인터넷 뱅킹 계좌이체와는 비교가 안된다. 타인의 계좌로 이체하거나, 타행 이체는 불가능하고, 자신의 check account에서 saving account로 이체하는 것만 된다.;;

$300을 이체해봤는데, 인증서나 보안카드 등등이 없으니 뭔가 허전하게 이체가 되는거 같다. 그러니 자기 계좌내에서만 이체가 되는 거 같다.

미국의 제도중 제일 이해가 잘 안가는 것이 이 은행제도인거 같다. 아마도 우리나라는 개인수표를 거의 안써서 그런거 아닐까 싶다. 지금까지 이해한 거는 수표는 발행해도 바로 계좌에서 빠져나가지 않고, 처리하는데 며칠 걸린다는거랑 수표 입금시 local 수표면 다음날 부터 인출가능하나 그렇지 않으면 3일인가, 4일인가 걸린덴다. 조금 당황스러웠던 것은 traveler's check를 만달라를 현찰로 바꾸려 했더니 안바꿔 줬었던 것이다.

등록금, 월세, 차구입, 자동차 보험을 check로 해봤다.

은행제도에 조금 익숙해지면 CD나 MMF를 손대봐야지 하고 생각하고 있는데, 언제쯤 이런 제도들에 익숙해질런지..뭣보다도 은행가면 직원들이 말들이 빠르니 전부 다 이해하는게 너무 어렵다.

자동차 구입

Pennsylvania에 와서 여러가지 물건들을 새로 장만하고 있는데, 지금 가장 곤란한 것이 자동차 구입이다. 일단 ID가 있어야 된다고 해서 Pennsylvania 주 ID를 받으려고 돌아다니는데, 차가 없어서 죄 걸어다녀야 하니 일 처리가 속도가 안난다. 우쨌든.. 오늘은 서류 준비의 거의 대부분이 끝났다.

돈 절약도 중요하지만, 수백마일 달려가서 돈 조금 아끼는 것 보다는 그냥 시간 절약하는게 훨씬 좋을것 같다. time = money 아닌가. ㅋ.

여러가지들이 낯설은게 많으니 참 쉽지가 않다.

car dealer 첫 순회

아내의 직장동료 N씨에게 차 사는데 좀 데려다 줄 수 있겠냐고 했더니, N 씨가 마침 나도 차를 좀 사려고 했다고 같이 다니자고 해서 Toyota, Honda, Nissan 딜러 한군데 씩을 가보았다. 말빨이 도저히 안되니 뭐 어떻게 해보기가 쉽지가 않았다.

Civic이 역시 좋긴 한데, 가격이 만만치가 않아서 잘 모르겠다. 되 팔 때에는 어찌될지 몰라도, 일단 당장 들어가는 목돈이 보이니 말이다. N씨는 되 팔때의 가격도 고려하라고 하는데 맞는 말이긴 하다.

오늘의 교훈은 정찰제가 좋구나 이다..

어쨌든 간다. 가서 어떻게 될지는 이제 정말 아무도 알 수 없겠지?
네스팟으로 인터넷 도중 옆에서 '맞다, 네스팟 정지 안시켰다.' 이런....네스팟의 기쁨을 앗아가는구나. 매우 약함으로 간신히 쓰고 있는데...으으음.

어쨌든, 잘 들 먹었다.



주일날 나 혼자 미사를 봤다. 나한텐 정말 마지막 연습이 될 지도 모를 그날 이었다.
언제 내가 또 같이 노래를 할 수 있을까, 내가 앞으로 예술의 전당이라던가 KBS 홀 이라던가 이런 무대에 서볼 수 있을까..? 많은 것들이 그리워질 것 같다.

설악추어탕

낙성대 근처 설악추어탕에서 출국전에 친구들이랑 한번 모였다. 미쿡 가면 먹기 힘든 음식을 먹고자 처음엔 순대국밥을 먹으려 했으나 DY군의 불가선언에 이어 추어탕이나 먹자고 해서 낙성대 앞 설악추어탕에서 만나게 되었다.

mobile robot 프로젝트를 하던 인연이 이렇게 까지 이어져오다니. 그게 학부 3학년 2학기 ~ 4학년 1학기 때 하던 것이니 96년도부터 상당히 가까이 지냈으니 벌써 10년째다. 잘들 지내라. 친구들아. 너희들의 금일봉으로 생계 부담도 1%는 줄었으니 열심히 공부하고 오마.

등산.

어제는 어쩌다보니 등산을 하게 되었다. 학교에서 나와서 한참을 걷다 보니 미림여고로 올라가는 길이 나와서 그냥 생각없이 삼성산이나 가볼까 하고 올라가기 시작했다. 그런데, 막상 삼성산성지가 나타나자 산속으로 걸어들어가야하는게 부담이 되서(비도 왔다) 그냥 죽 찻길따라 올라갔다. 의외로 보행자통로가 계속 있어서 터널들을 지나고, 마지막 터널을 지나기 전에 길가 근처에 정자 같은데가 있어서 잠시 앉아서 비도 피하고, 오다가 산 요구르트도 한잔 마셨다.

어렸을때 자주 넘나다니던 길이라 꿈많던 어린 소년이었던 시절도 생각나고, 지금 내 삶을 돌아보게도 되었다. 어렸을때, 이 길 공사하던 모습을 보고 산 허리를 동강낸다고 생각했었는데,
지금은 그 동강난 허리의 한쪽으로는 아파트들이 들어섰고, 그중 한 아파트는 '친환경 아파트' 라고 티비에 까지 나왔었다. 숲이 가까운 아파트라고 말이다. 어찌되었건, 그냥 한없이 죽 앞으로 걷다 보니 삼막천도 나왔다. 어렸을때 거의 매주마다 그 삼막천을 따라 부모님과 등산다녔던 기억이 난다. 그때 늘 아버지, 어머니꼐서 '20살 넘으면 느그들이 우리 데리고 와라' 하셨는데, 20살이 넘은뒤로는 같이 등산을 다녀본적이 별로 없는거 같다. 지금은 어머님 무릎이 많이 안좋으셔서 등산다니기도 쉽지 않아졌다. 아쉽다.

하루 아침 새에는 변하는게 거의 없는것 같이 보이지만 그 작은 하루들이 모여서 엄청난 변화들이 생긴 것 같다. 급격히 변하는 날도 있긴 하지만, 생각없이 한걸음 한걸음 걷다 보니 높은 산을 올랐다 내려오듯이 가랑비에 옷젖는줄 모르듯이 서서히 변해가는 것들이 더 큰 변화를 일으키는 것 같다.

나의 과거와 현재로부터 앞으로 올 미래는 어떻게 다를까. 어떤 삶이 될지 불투명한 요즈음에 내가 할 일이 무엇인지 도무지 모르겠다. 그냥 작은 발걸음을 하나씩 내딛을 수 밖에. 그러다 보면 언젠가 큰 산을 오르게 되겠지.

폭우

지난 주말에 서울을 비롯 중부지방 일대에 폭우가 쏟아졌다. 여기저기 물난리도 나고, 그동안 비가 계속 많이 왔던 탓에 산사태도 나고 난리가 아니었다. 주일날 명동에 가려 했는데, 한강대교 부근 도로 몇군데가 침수가 되서 길이 너무 막혀서 가다가 다리 위에서 차를 돌려서 올 정도 였다. 강물이 넘쳐서 강변의 공원, 올림픽대로 전부 물이 너울너울 거렸다.

그런데, 그 와중에 뜻밖의 행운도 찾아왔다. 바로 동원 예비군 훈련 취소! 18~20일 강원도 홍천 모처의 동원예비군 훈련장에서 훈련을 받을 예정이라 주일날 미리 군화끈도 매보고, 군복도 입어보고, 단추 구멍도 좀 손보고 준비를 하고 있었는데, 국방부에서 전격적으로 18, 19일에 시작하는 동원 예비군 훈련을 무기한 연기하기로 했다는 소식이 들렸던 것이다.

집이 인터넷이 안되서 한달음에 근처 게임방으로 가서 천원을 내고 확인해본 결과, 사실이었다!
게다가 월요일 점심경에 [병무청 알림] 이라는 내용의 문자 메시지가 왔는데, 훈련 연기 되었으니 입영하지 말래는 것이다.

정말...재수다. 왠지 3일이 그냥 공짜로 생긴 기분이다. 열심히 시간 잘 관리하며 보내야지. 호호호.

대 망 신

엊그저께 학교 기숙사 체력단련실에서 아내와 같이 운동을 하기로 약속을 하였다.
그러고서는 기숙사 식당에서 아내를 기다리고 있었는데,
식당옆 현금 인출기에서 아내랑 비슷한 청치마에 비슷한 분홍색 구두를 신은 처자가
돈을 찾고 있는걸 발견했다.

무의식적으로 다가가서 우산으로 엉덩이를 툭 치려는 찰나...

왠지 머리모양이 조금 다른 것 같아서 멈칫 했다.

그러고서는 옆모습을 봤더니 완전 딴 사람이지 않은가..
대망신을 당할 뻔 했다.

강의 해보니..

요즈음 S대에서 계절학기 강의를 하고 있는데,
강의라는게 참 쉽지 않은 것 같지만, 재미도 있는 것 같다.

학생들이 '무슨 말하는거야..' 하는 표정일 때는 내가 설명을 너무 부실하게 하나 싶어서 좀 미안해지는데,
'아하..' 하는 표정을 지을 때는 나름대로 뿌듯함이 느껴지는것 같다.

재미있는 경험인 것 같다.

내 강의를 듣는 25명 학동들이 나로 인해서 조금 다른 시각으로 자신의 전공을 바라보고,
지식도 얻고, 경험도 쌓을 수 있다면 좋은 것 아닌가..

배운 것을 단순히 내 돈벌이를 위해 쓰는게 아니라 남과 공유할 수 있다는게 기분 좋은 일 같다.

조금 더 많이 배워서 더 많은 것을 공유할 수 있는 사람이 되어야 할텐데...

7월 한달동안 빡시게 살아야할듯..

Picasso in Seoul Art Museum

서울 시립 미술관에서 피카소 작품 140점을 전시한다기에 가봤다.

피카소, 피카소 하는데 도대체 어떤 그림이길래 그 사람이 그렇게 유명한지에 대한 호기심이랄까..

고딩때 미술시간에 배운기억으로는 피카소는 청색시대(푸르딩딩한 그림만 그림), 장미시대 (붉그죽죽한 그림만 그림) 를 지나서 입체파 화가로 변모해 갔다는 것 정도..

그림을 본 소감은 이 사람은 정말 다작한 사람이었구나 싶었다.
그리고, 같은 그림 막 그려서 팔았다는 말이 나돌만큼 같은 사물을 놓고 여러 그림을 많이 그렸고, 이번 전시회에서는 그런 그림들을 나란히 배치해서 재미있었다.

웹에서 picasso로 검색해보니 이번에 본 그림이 하나 나왔다..

너무 잘 되가는건가..

좋은 일 1.
어제 저녁에 PSU의 Beelman 교수에게서 아내에게 e-mail이 하나 왔다.
돈은 없는데, 자리는 내줄 수 있고, 이러저러한 일을 할 수 있겠냐는 내용이었다.
교원대에서 아내한테 준 자리가 PSU로 가더라도 계속 유지만 된다면,
돈 문제가 어느 정도 해결이 될테니, 연구를 계속할 수 있을 것 같다.
내일 교원대에 가본다고 하는데, 잘 되길 빈다.

머 한달쯤 전부터 예정된 일이긴 하지만, 오늘 숭실대에 가서 출석부를 받아들고 왔다.
이번주 목요일부터 숭실대가서 강의를 하게 됐다.
컴퓨터 통신 특강이라는 강좌의 계절학기 강의를 맡았다.
잘 해내야지..

호사다마라 했던가, 오늘 결국 정신놓고 다니다가 성당 연습실에 가방을 두고 나왔다.
그래서 집에 차를 세우다가 다시 돌아가서 가방가져왔다. ㅡ.ㅜ.

감기야 물럿거라.

요즘 계속 기침감기로 고생중이다..아흑.
약 안먹고 버텨보려고 했는데, 결국 약 먹고 나아가는중.
왜이리 감기가 자주 오는걸까? 몸 상태가 많이 약해진건가...

운동 3주째.

운동시작한자 3주째가 되었다.
아직 몇가지 힘든 운동들이 있지만, 몸에 좀 익숙해진 운동들도 있다.
감기로 인해서 몸이 제 컨디션이 아니라 운동효과를 정확하게는 잘 모르겠다. - -;

강사가 되다.

강사가 되게 되었다..

숭실대 이상준 교수님 덕분에 BIT 컴퓨터 강사 자리를 구하게 됐다. 21시간 강의에 70정도의 pay이니 대략 시간당 3만원꼴.

그런데...거기에 이어서 숭실대의 공학인증 프로그램의 일환으로 기업체 전문인력의 특강 프로그램의 강사로 와보겠냐는 제의를 해주셨다. pay도 아주 두둑했다..오호라..이런 재쑤가.

열심히 준비해서, 잘 해봐야지.
기회가 왔을때 달려들어야지.

home coming day

ctclab의 homecoming day에 갔다왔다.
피자로 점심을 대강 먹고, 이문규 교수님의 최근연구현황 발표..그리고, 소프트볼까지..
선후배, 동기들을 만나니 예전의 학생시절이 생각나고,
다시 그 학창시절로 돌아가게 되었다는 감회가 새로웠다.
교수님께서는 미국생활하려면 aggressive해야한다고 성향을 바꾸도록 노력하라고 하셨다.

저녁식사와 술자리는 생략..

간만에 운동을 했더니 허벅지, 종아리, 발목, 발바닥 근육피로감이 -_-;;
운동좀 꾸준히 해야겠다.
체력은 학력 -_-;;

dinner with ex-colleagues at suwon

이제 나에게는 '옛' 동료인 삼성전자의 옛 부서 동료들을 만났다.
회사 앞에서 만났는데, 며칠전까지 출근하던 것 같은 느낌이 들었다.

사당역에서 7001번인가 7701인가 영통가는 것을 타고 원천유원지 앞에서 내렸는데,
오..꽤 멀었다. 한 20분은 걸은 것 같다.

고생들은 하고 있겠지만, 그래도 경제적으로는 대부분 나보다 훨씬 나은 처지일테니
그점은 조금 부러웠다. 그리고, 불확실한 부분보다는 확실한 부분이 더 많은 미래인 것도..

회사다니면서 했던 고민들, 고생들도 이젠 추억으로 남는 것 같다.
하긴...불합격할 까봐 전전긍긍하던 그 시기의 고민도 이제는 추억으로 남는 것 같다.
세상이 무섭고, 힘들다는 것도 알았지만, 반면에 어느 정도 자신감도 생긴다.
